"MASK" stands for Montgomery Advocates for Solidarity and Kindness. We are high-school students from Montgomery, New Jersey. We educate about relationship abuse and are advocates for other concerns regarding human rights and respect. All visitors are welcome to share with us any comments, questions, or stories they wish. Montgomery Advocates for Solidarity and Kindness. We are high school students from New Jersey who want to make a difference. We recognize there are many kinds of 'abuse'- in the movies, video games we play, music lyrics we listen to, commercials, everywhere. These messages often make teens feel less empowered, and more prone to depression and suicide, feel uncomfortable with their body image, as well as more likely to be involved in an abusive relationship. Drugs and alcohol are often part of those situations. By knowing the signs of abuse, recognizing disrespect of individuals in the social media, we are taking a step towards reducing the negative effects of these messages. Stand up, listen, speak up and stop the violence.
